Tabla is a tonal drum. It has a highly developed drum language. This course takes an in-depth survey of the details involved in the language.
Workshops
Samir Chatterjee conducts workshops throughout the year in different location. In 2023 there was a workshop in Barasat, West Bengal, India from January 20th, 21st, 22nd, and 23rd. There is a workshop coming up in Rajshahi from March 12th through the 14th, followed by a day-long workshop in Tokyo on April 8th. On May 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th, there will be a workshop at the Chhandayan Center for Indian Music in New York City.

Samir Chatterjee is often invited to participate and speak at several international seminars. His past participations include International seminars at Delhi University, Pt. Bhatkhande University, Mumbai University, Rabindra University in Kolkata. He will be speaking at Dhaka University on March 6th, 2023.
